Demers Avenue

Starting in late May 2019, Demers Avenue will undergo construction from the Sorlie Bridge to 6th Street. Demers will be closed from 3rd Street (intersection by Freedom Church and Waterfront Kitchen & Bath) up to the Alerus Express on 6th Street. The downtown reroute is shown above in the downtown parking section.

Selkirk on 4th

Located in the heart of downtown Grand Forks, ND, Selkirk on 4th will provide an engaging and creative environment that will integrate commercial space with downtown housing and a community park space. Selkirk on 4th will consist of 5 levels starting with commercial space and private underground parking. Condos will be located on floors 3 through 5 with private balconies that overlook beautiful downtown Grand Forks. Completion: Fall 2019.

In 1872, Alexander Griggs, Selkirk steamboat captain staked claim to land on the Red River. That 9-acre piece of land would become downtown Grand Forks. Griggs has long been acknowledged as responsible for the growth of Grand Forks from a trading post to a town. His efforts earned him the title, “Father of Grand Forks.”

Pure Development (Hugo’s and Alerus on Demers and 5th)

Located on the west end of Grand Forks’ downtown core, the project proposes a transformation of an entire block which is currently under-developed. It addresses a growing demand in cities, including Grand Forks, not just for new housing options, but for businesses which support a growing downtown population. A primary commercial component of the project will be a grocery store. The location provides residents of downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods with convenient access to essential items, and adds a basic service important to continued development. Completion: Summer 2020
