7 Downtown Events You Won't Want to Miss this Summer!
The weather is warming up and that means sunny events downtown are just around the corner! Here are 7 events downtown that you’ll want to mark on your calendars in the next few months! Downtown is definitely the place you’ll want to be this summer!
1. Downtown: Pillars of Place Conference
We want anyone anywhere to know how to implement placemaking in their neighborhood, workplace, or community! The Downtown: Pillars of Place conference is a conference in downtown to learn how placemaking can impact where you live! Little changes can make the biggest impact in a community, which is also why we’re awarding $2,000 to one community betterment project! This conference is open to anyone with any background! 2. Soaring through Downtown Forks
Soar through downtown Grand Forks and experience a restaurant you haven't been to, shop at a local boutique, and support all the unique places we have here! While exploring downtown we will feature women in aviation throughout and their connection to the Air Race Classic and our region! 3. Town Square Farmer’s Market
The grass is green and you know what that means! The Town Square Farmer’s Market is just a few weeks away! Unique crafters, fresh produce, local entrepreneurs, food trucks, and so much more await at the Town Square Farmer’s Market this summer! Opening weekend is June 17th and is every Saturday in Town Square from 9am-1pm! Stay up to date on vendors and the opening weekend via their social media here.
4. Blues on the Red presented by The Olive Ann Hotel
Blues on the Red is BACK! Join us for the Blues on the Red presented by The Olive Ann Hotel on June 17th! Blues on the Red will be in Town Square in Downtown Grand Forks with gates opening at 4:30pm featuring west coast swing dance lessons for attendees and music starting at 6pm! This concert features Vivian Hayes and the Hi-Praise and the Lamont Cranston Band in a beautiful outdoor setting downtown. 5. The Johnny Holm Band in Town Square

6. Downtown Street Fair
The 8th Annual Downtown Street Fair will be returning to Downtown Grand Forks on August 18th + 19th! Vendors, food trucks, musicians, and more will be lining the streets of our downtown at this all-ages event! Vendor hours are 11am-8pm on Friday and 9am-6pm on Saturday! 7. Hot Valley Nights
If there’s a weekend you need to be downtown, it’s August 18th & 19th! After the Downtown Street Fair during the day, enjoy the evening at Hot Valley Nights in Downtown East Grand Forks! Hot Valley Nights is the valley’s best outdoor music festival! With hot artists like Tracy Lawrence and Dylan Scott as well as local talent like Paint the Town, you’re sure to find some tunes you enjoy!
