The Ultimate Afternoon Adventure with Grand Rides
Got four hours to spare and a sense of adventure? Grand Rides makes it easy to enjoy a full afternoon of food, fresh air, and local flavor—all without a car. Whether you're new to the area or just looking for a little weekend adventure, here's how to make the most of Grand Rides!
10:00 AM – Morning Fuel Up
Start your ride by grabbing a coffee from one of downtown’s cozy spots—Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea, Urban Stampede, Caribou Coffee inside Dorothy’s Treats or The Ember. Whether you’re a cold brew loyalist or need a lavender latte to kickstart your day, you’re covered. Pro tip: find a sunny spot in a downtown pocket park or Town Square and sip slow—you’ve got a fun day ahead!
10:30 AM – Cruise the Greenway
Find a bike at the Town Square rack or a rack downtown! Hop on your Grand Rides bike and head toward the Greenway, the miles-long trail system that follows the Red River. This stretch is the highlight of your ride—smooth paths, gorgeous river views, and plenty of quiet nature moments that feel like a true getaway (without leaving the city)!
11:30 AM – Park Pit Stop
Pull off at Lincoln Drive Park for a mid-ride break. Sit on a bench, stretch, check out the disc golf course, or wander through the open green space! It’s a great chance to hydrate, relax, and take a few scenic photos while you rest. Don’t forget to lock your bike during your rental if you go exploring!

12:15 PM – Back on the Trail
Hop back on your bike and loop toward downtown, enjoying the trail, or you can even check out the other side of the river if you're feeling adventurous! Bonus points if you spot a deer or wildlife along the way!
1:00 PM – wrap it up
Return your Grand Rides bike to the Town Square station with a few minutes to spare. You’ve just enjoyed a full four hours of activity, all powered by pedals. Now that you’ve worked up a sweat, time for some food!
1:50 PM – Snack Time Downtown
Wrap up your ride with a well-earned appetizer or light lunch back in the heart of downtown. Head to Joe Black’s, The Hub, Rhombus Guys, Brick & Barley or Half Brother’s for something tasty—nachos, bruschetta, fries, pizza, you name it. It’s the perfect finale to your two-wheeled afternoon!
