The Empire Arts Center is celebrating the 100th birthday of our historic theater, and we want you to join us! On November 10, 1919, this building held its grand opening as one of Grand Forks’ finest movie theaters. Come celebrate with us exactly 100 years later!
Join us for:
-Silent films shorts shown throughout the afternoon (full lineup to be released soon!)
-Birthday cake, courtesy of Hugo's Family Marketplace
-Guided tours of the entire building
-Backstage storytime with celebrity guest Terry Dullum and the Grand Forks Public Library
-An official rededication ceremony at 3:00pm including a very special announcement
-And more!
This community celebration is FREE, and all are welcome. Contact the Empire Arts Center with any questions: (701) 746-5500.
