About This Series:
This series will use Mind-Body approaches including meditation, guided imagery, journaling, breathing techniques, art, music, and movement. Using all of these skills, this class will help to alleviate stress, promote self-awareness, and foster self-care. Participants will learn the techniques, practice them, and discuss their experiences with members of the small group.
Objectives:
At the completion of this course, participants will:
Describe a variety of healing modalities including meditation, guided imagery, journal writing, and movement. In addition, they will be able to reflect on the ways these skills can be helpful personally & professionally.
Articulate the importance of self-awareness and self-care for personal health & well-being. They will know the importance of maintaining a balance between the intellectual, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of their lives.
Further the skill of metacognition.
Appreciate the value of an on-going commitment to personal growth.
